2017, 2018, 2019 Roshi
ro·shi/ ˈrōSHē/ noun. the spiritual leader of a community of Zen Buddhist monks
The "Roshi" our founder Kirk trained with in Japan taught him that in the journey of life, you must bring all elements into the path of peace and harmony. Kirk has applied his teacher's principles into this Bordeaux style Meritage. Blending the noble grapes of Bordeaux is a tradition in France yielding some of the most prized wines in Europe. Here in Santa Barbara County on the eastern edge of the Santa Ynez valley, we are able to grow grapes in the style of Bordeaux. With a minimum of 20 months in barrel, we consider "Roshi" to be our flagship wine.
Meritage Deconstructed $65/person
2019 Cabernet Franc, 2018 Merlot, 2018 Petit Verdot, 2018 Roshi
The wines on this flight are all noble grapes of Bordeaux. Some if not all the varietals are used for blending a Meritage. This is a great opportunity to deconstruct a Meritage and isolate the unique flavor profile each varietal has to offer. These wines are all grown locally in Happy Canyon.
